HAIR REMOVAL

At Skin Body Soul Beauty Therapy I offer you two kinds of hair removal, as I am always looking for new ways to help my clients on their hair removal journey.

WAXING  

​

This has been a traditional method of hair removal in the Beauty Industry which most people have heard of and generally had done to some part of their body.  The first commercial use wax was formulated in France in the 1930's.  It is a very effective way of removing the hair by the follicle to the achieve a smooth hair free skin.  The hair is removed from the follicle in the opposite direction to the hair growth to rid the area of hair for generally 4-6 weeks.  Some people do experience regrowth at a faster rate however, and may need to have more regular treatments.    The hair should be approximately .075ml long to ensure a good result.  I use Strip and Hard wax in salon to achieve the best result for each client and their needs.

SUGARING

​

Early in 2016 I trained in the art of Body Sugaring.  It's a fairly new addition in the Beauty Industry world

but has actually been around since ancient times.

It removes hair from the follicles as does waxing, but differs by removing the hair in the direction of hair growth

rather than against it.  

This results in removing part of the inner sheath of the follicle, collapsing it bit by bit & then with each new growth cycle the hair grows back finer and weaker leading to permanency, and longer times between your treatments. 

Sugaring is gentle on the skin, only exfoliating the dead cells on the surface.  

It is 100% natural and contains no Nasties.  

It is simply a mixture of Sugar, Lemon and Water and is slightly heated so it won't burn any sensitive areas,

and doesn't leave the skin irritated.
